If you are a Windows to Mac switcher, like myself, you may suddenly find yourself will oogles and oogles of old email archives that are unreadable, because all you can see is “winmail.dat”. This plugin extracts the attachments and messages into useable files inside Mail.app. Try it, and I know you’ll like it.

Most of the time you receive winmail.dat files from Microsoft Outlook users who send mails with attachments. You can try to convert these with other tools, but nothing is so seamles integrated into Apple Mail as OMiC.
